AMERICAN SUBCONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION OF WASHINGTON ALIGNS WITH SNO-ISLE TECH SCHOOL’S CONSTRUCTION TRADES PROGRAM TO ENCOURAGE GRADUATES TO CONSIDER CAREERS IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
(Seattle, WA – May 1, 2024) – The Board of Advisors of the American Subcontractors Association of Washington are proud to announce a brand-new alliance forged between ASA and Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center, as a continuation of the chapter’s workforce development efforts. This important alliance encourages young talent to enter the construction industry, by providing a career pathway and access to jobs within ASA member companies.
“By emphasizing the importance of mentorship in the trades, we can help to create a more skilled and knowledgeable workforce. This not only benefits individual workers by increasing their chances of success in their chosen field, but it also starts to address the ongoing skills gap we are all talking about” said Melissa Rossi, Interim-President of Division 9 and the current President of the ASA of Washington Chapter.
Sno-Isle TECH is a cooperative effort of 15 local school districts to prepare high school students for the next stage of their education and careers. ASA will maintain a list of all the participating member companies who are supportive of the alliance and who have open positions to fill, participate in career fairs, and provide relevant content to the Sno-Isle TECH Trade & Industry program. We encourage any other subcontractor and suppliers who are interested in participating to contact the chapter.
