BETTER CONSTRUCTION THROUGH FAIR CONSTRUCTION
The American Subcontractors Association promotes and protects the rights and interests of subcontractors and suppliers by building strength in community through education, legislation, networking and professional growth.

Industry Partner Initiative

A huge thank you to our new GCs of 2025!

Power in Partnerships

The American Subcontractors Association partners with General Contractors who demonstrate a high level of integrity. How is this determined? It’s determined by our membership. If a GC has a positive reputation, ASA facilitates building new and strengthening existing relations between GCs and Subcontractors, who are members of the ASA.

The ASA provides education, advocates for the construction industry and connects GCs and Subcontractors. We understand success depends on relationships built on trust, experience, understanding and fairness.

Better Construction through Fair Construction
What better way to support this than by partnering with ASA Washington Chapter?

How can GCs complement programming already provided by the ASA?
ASA provides a safe platform in which General Contractors and Subcontractors can directly address important topics such as payments, change orders, communication and other issues so everyone comes away with a better understanding.

We understand strong project managers/supervisors are keys to successful projects. We offer opportunities to network so that project managers for both subcontractors and general contractors can learn from each other on communication, fair subcontract terms and scheduling.

How does ASA provide connections between its members and GC supporters?
Monthly meetings and mixers provide opportunity for partners and members to connect in meaningful ways. The organization also:

  • Provides the Contractor’s Compass, the official monthly educational journal of the ASA.
  • Publishes ASA Today, a weekly national email news bulletin.
  • Hosts monthly educational webinars.
  • Hosts an annual national educational convention.

How GC’s can get the most benefit from partnership? GCs can:

  • Lead panel discussions addressing real issues.
  • Brainstorm with the local ASA at the annual ASA Board/GC Partner Dinner to find solutions to major issues facing GCs.
  • Host Open Houses at their facilities.
  • Host/Participate in networking events.
  • Invite ASA leadership to events for subcontractors.

How much does a GC Partnership Cost?

  • The Annual Cost for a GC Partnership is $2,500. This includes adding your logo and website link to the ASA-WA website, and providing recognition for your support through signage and announcements at meetings and events.
